Be a Worshipper of Jesus
It goes without saying that we all worship someone or something. Ask yourself this question: Who or what dictates my worldview? What drives my thoughts and actions? Well, you worship that! In order for anyone to serve Jesus, you must be His child and worship Him alone. Jesus must take center stage over all others. Where do we start? The Bible teaches us that we must accept Jesus into our hearts, believe in Him as the savior and Lord our lives, confess our sins and ask Him to forgive us. No matter who you are or what you have done, know that He died to pay for your sins so that you can have a relationshp with God.
Dedicate Yourself to Prayer and Scripture Reading
The most significant sign of one’s devotion to Jesus is measured by his personal desire to grow in his/her relationship with Jesus. As you draw close to Him, you'll love those around you and won't be able to contain your joy. You'll long to gather with His church and worship Him among His people.
Commit Yourself to Serve and Love the Church
Ultimately, Jesus promised that His objective is to build His church, that is, His people. As a result, you must serve and love the church with your time, energy, and resources (all of which is God’s gift to you anyway!)
Live in Anticipation of the Return of Christ
According His promise, Jesus is coming back to gather His people! Followers of Jesus live every day with great anticipation for this historical event when all of God’s children, from every nation, tribe, people and language, will be united with Jesus for eternity!
